Weddings & send-offs
How BootBorrow Events Work
An event is a shared page for a wedding — or a send-off party — where everyone rents boots together. The organizer chooses the boot options for each part of the party, shares one link, and every guest picks their pair and size.
1. Create the event
Choose a wedding or another event, set the date, pick a 4-day or 8-day rental window, and BootBorrow generates a private invite link you can share with everyone.
2. Pick boots per group
Choose the boot options for the couple, groomsmen, bridesmaids and guests — as many options per group as you like.
3. Everyone joins and picks
Guests sign in, choose their group, pick their boots from that group's options, and give us their size.
4. Boots ship together
Boots arrive ahead of your date and go back with prepaid return labels. No cleaning required.
The two event types
Wedding
The full structure: Couple, Groomsmen, Bridesmaids and Guests. Each group gets its own set of boot options, so the party can coordinate without everyone wearing the same pair.
Other event
One guest list, same mechanic — built for send-off parties, bachelorette weekends, birthdays, rodeos, concerts, and anything else worth showing up in boots for. Everybody picks from the same options.
The two payment modes
Group pay
The organizer pays once at checkout for everyone on the roster. Guests just pick boots and a size — they never enter card details. Best for wedding parties and companies covering the cost.
Individual pay
Each member checks out for their own pair, tagged to the event so their rental dates and delivery line up with the group. Best for friend groups splitting the cost.
How boot selection works
Options per group
For each group, the organizer builds a list of acceptable boots — seven for the bridesmaids, three for the groomsmen, whatever fits the look. Members pick one from their group's list.
Any boot, or no boots at all
Not every group needs a curated list. An organizer can open a group up to any boot in the collection, set a simple color rule (any Black boot, for example), or mark a group as not renting at all — handy for a couple who already have their own pair.
The order deadline
Why it exists
Every event has an order deadline that falls before the event date. It gives us time to clean, condition, and ship every pair so they arrive ahead of the big day.
What happens at the deadline
New orders close for the event. Organizers can extend the deadline from the event dashboard any time before the event date, and can send a one-tap reminder to anyone who hasn't ordered yet.
What the organizer sees
The roster
A live list of everyone who has joined, grouped by their role, showing exactly which boots each person picked and who has ordered. Guest emails, sizes and payment details stay private.
Invites
Share the invite link, or send a warm invite email straight from the dashboard to anyone who hasn't joined yet — new guests are walked through creating an account first.
